Tunisia wraps up French‑backed “Savoir Agir” higher‑education program for 80,000 students

The Tunisian Ministry of Higher Education announced the official closure of the two‑year, Franco‑Tunisian project “Savoir Agir”. The initiative equipped students across all licence programmes with common competencies in languages, critical thinking, leadership and teamwork, and will benefit about 80,000 students starting in the 2026‑2027 academic year.

A total of 1,363 teachers completed 19 sessions and 71 workshops covering fundamental university skills, French oral and written proficiency, scientific English and life‑skills. The programme also supported the qualification of 1,191 licence programmes, to be implemented in September 2026. France’s ambassador confirmed a €2 million funding envelope for the 2023‑2026 cooperation period.
