Turin police seize half a ton of hashish after pursuit

Carabinieri officers in Nichelino, south of Turin, intercepted a vehicle containing approximately 500 kilograms of hashish following a police pursuit. The operation was initiated after officers noticed the vehicle's rear shock absorbers were heavily compressed, suggesting an excessive load.

Upon stopping the vehicle, the driver reportedly failed to cooperate, leading to a chase. A subsequent search of the car revealed the half-ton of drugs. Authorities are currently investigating the origin and intended destination of the narcotics to dismantle the distribution network involved.
