Turkey advances major hospital construction projects

Major healthcare infrastructure projects in Turkey are nearing completion. In Niğde, the Bor Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Hospital project has reached 85 percent completion. The facility is planned to cover 117,533 square meters, with 60,576 square meters of enclosed space. It will feature 250 beds, 30 outpatient clinics, and specialized units including robotic walking rehabilitation, four separate treatment pools for neurological and orthopedic patients, and traditional and complementary medicine units.

In Diyarbakır, the Kayapınar City Hospital construction has reached 98 percent completion. Spanning 438,000 square meters, the complex will provide 1,000 beds, which can be expanded to 1,500 during disasters. The facility includes 250 outpatient clinics, 38 operating rooms, and 316 intensive care beds. Designed with 802 seismic isolators to ensure continuity of service during earthquakes, the hospital is expected to enter service in the second half of 2027 and accommodate approximately 60,000 people daily.
