Turkey advances major infrastructure projects: new service building in Tekirdağ and 1 Exabyte data center in Ankara

The Tekirdağ Water and Sewerage Administration (TESKİ) is constructing a modern service building in the Saray district of Tekirdağ Province. The 1,270‑square‑metre site will house TESKİ offices on the ground floor and Tekirdağ Metropolitan Municipality services on the second floor, aiming to improve service quality, meet updated earthquake regulations, and reduce public‑sector costs.

Separately, Turkey is building the TÜRKSAT Gölbaşı Data Center near Ankara. Planned to become operational in 2027, the facility will provide a 1 Exabyte storage capacity and host up to 1,500 high‑density server cabinets. It will consolidate e‑Devlet and other government digital assets under a single, fully domestic platform, offering extensive redundancy, Tier‑III and LEED‑Gold certified resilience against cyber attacks, natural disasters, and power outages.
