Turkey advances water projects in Bursa and Kırklareli
The General Directorate of Water and Sewerage (BUSKİ) in Turkey has opened a public tender to drill new groundwater wells across Bursa. The digital open‑tender process, scheduled to begin on 5 June 2026, aims to strengthen the city’s drinking‑water network, especially during dry periods, by mobilising underground water resources and modernising supply infrastructure.
In the Thrace province of Kırklareli, Governor Uğur Turan visited the State Hydraulic Works (DSİ) 112th branch in Lüleburgaz. He highlighted the importance of protecting water sources and stressed that DSİ investments are essential for rural development and agricultural production in the region.
