Türkiye AI usage nearly doubles in 2026

Data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) shows that artificial intelligence usage in Türkiye nearly doubled in 2026 compared to the previous year. Generative AI adoption among individuals rose from 19.2 percent in 2025 to 37.6 percent in 2026. Usage is highest among the 16-24 age demographic (64.9 percent) and university graduates (62.7 percent). Most individuals use these tools for personal purposes (86.4 percent), followed by professional work (37.3 percent).

In the business sector, the proportion of enterprises utilizing AI increased from 7.5 percent in 2025 to 14 percent in 2026. Adoption is significantly higher in larger companies, with those employing 250 or more people reaching a 37.1 percent adoption rate.

Sectoral analysis reveals a wide gap in integration. The telecommunications, programming, and IT sector leads with 63.7 percent usage, followed by publishing and broadcasting at 57.1 percent. Conversely, the construction sector shows the lowest integration at 6.9 percent. Other sectors include finance and insurance at 30.2 percent and real estate at 25.8 percent.
