Turkey aims for $273 billion goods export by 2025, ASO chief says

Ankara Sanayi Odası (ASO) Chairman Seyit Ardıç announced that Turkey’s total goods export is projected to reach $273 billion by the end of 2025, up from $142 billion a decade earlier. He highlighted the goal of raising unit export values and increasing the share of high‑technology products, while stressing the need for a renewed industrial focus to achieve the desired global production jump.

Ardıç referenced the shift in global manufacturing, noting China’s rise to roughly one‑third of world output and Turkey’s modest 1.3% share. He described industry as a state matter, linking it to energy access, technology capacity, data dominance, and critical raw materials. He also mentioned a new protocol with France’s embassy in Ankara intended to streamline commercial visas and bolster trade cooperation.
