Turkey aims to integrate five provinces into a single tourism route
At a Regional Tourism Workshop held in Elazığ, Turkey's Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, announced a strategic initiative to integrate the tourism efforts of five provinces: Elazığ, Adıyaman, Bingöl, Tunceli, and Malatya.
Ersoy stated that the ministry aims to expand tourism activities across all 81 provinces of Turkey and throughout all 12 months of the year. The strategy focuses on increasing product diversity and encouraging visitors to stay longer in the country to maximize the economic and social benefits for local cities.
Rather than promoting these five cities as isolated destinations, the ministry intends to market them as a single, interconnected tourism geography. This approach will emphasize holistic experiences, such as historical exploration, local cuisine, and nature, through curated travel routes. Currently, these five provinces host 130 accommodation facilities with a total of 11,222 beds.
