Turkey announces free private school placements for children of martyrs and veterans

The Turkish Ministry of Family and Social Services, in collaboration with the Ministry of National Education, has announced the placement results for children of martyrs and veterans, as well as children under state protection, for free enrollment in private schools for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Under this program, private schools must reserve at least 3% of their total student capacity for these specific groups. Out of 1,969 applicants, 1,952 students (99.08%) were successfully placed in one of their preferred schools. Notably, 82% of applicants were placed in their first choice, and 97% were placed within their top three choices.

To secure their rights, placed students must complete their registration at the respective private schools by September 7. Benefits include free meals, boarding, books, stationery, clothing, study sessions, and international diploma programs, though transportation fees are excluded. Any remaining vacancies will be published on e-Okul on September 8 for placement by private schools.
