Turkey announces vocational high school student subsidies

The Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Treasury and Finance have published a communiqué in the Official Gazette detailing financial support for students attending private vocational and technical Anatolian high schools for the 2026–2027 academic year.

For schools located within Organized Industrial Zones (OSBs), support amounts vary significantly by field. The highest subsidies, reaching up to 104,795 TL per student, are designated for motor vehicle technology and renewable energy technologies. Other high-value fields include electrical-electronics and shipbuilding, which receive 100,247 TL. Artificial intelligence and information technologies also receive substantial support, with amounts of 91,241 TL and 62,548 TL respectively.

For schools located outside of OSBs in designated provinces or districts, the annual support per student ranges between 36,482 TL and 48,894 TL. To qualify for these subsidies, students must be Turkish citizens, maintain continuous attendance, and complete registration or transfer processes within 30 days of the start of the academic year.
