Turkey appoints referees for 2026-2027 football and handball seasons

The Central Referee and Observer Board announced the list of officials for the 2026‑2027 football season in the Kayseri region of Turkey. Eight referees and five observers were named, including women officials Dilber Sıla Başıaçık and Sinem Özpınar. The full roster comprises regional referees Furkan Emre Arslan, Gökhan Mutlu, Mustafa Melih Kaya and assistants Aykut Cem Bulut, Ersin Öztürk, Bekir Kalkanlı, as well as observers Fahri Aksoy, Mustafa Yılmaz, Murat Özçetin, Ceyhun Gürbüz and Naci Serkan Sarıkaya.

Separately, the Turkish Handball Federation’s Central Referee and Observer Committee organized a three‑day referee seminar in Kızılcahamam from 31 July to 2 August 2026. The event hosted 42 referee pairs and provided theoretical and practical training on competition management, rule updates, position analysis and current officiating practices to prepare officials for the upcoming season.
