Turkey battles multiple forest fires across five provinces, 169 incidents reported

Turkey's Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry reported that 169 forest fire incidents have been tackled since yesterday, including 110 fires outside forested areas. Of these, 163 have been fully brought under control, with complete containment achieved in Antalya's Kaş district and Isparta's Eğirdir area. Large‑scale control has been established in Mersin's Gülnar and Muğla's Seydikemer, while fire intensity has been reduced in Antalya's Alanya and Muğla's Fethiye. Ongoing firefighting efforts focus on Aydın's Çine and Balıkesir's Gömeç, where aerial units, helicopters and thousands of ground personnel are deployed. In Alanya, local officials have evacuated nearby homes and continue ground suppression as weather conditions, including low humidity and strong winds, hamper containment.
