Turkey cherry export revenue reaches $235 million
Turkey's cherry export revenues reached $235 million between January 1 and August 10, marking a significant increase from the $47.7 million earned during the same period last year. According to the Ege Exporters' Association, export volume rose from 6,040 tons to 68,737 tons.
Cengiz Balık, President of the Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters' Association, noted that the industry has overcome the negative impact of frost experienced during the 2025 flowering period. The number of export markets has also expanded from 34 countries to 52.
Germany remains the top market with $74 million in exports, followed by Russia at $67.5 million, Poland at $29 million, and Iraq at $26.5 million.
