Turkey condemns Netanyahu's Gaza remarks as disgraceful

Turkey’s communication chief Burhanettin Duran denounced Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s recent comments, calling the attempt to give Turkey a “moral lesson” over Gaza “hadsizlik” – an act of disgrace and immorality. Duran said the Israeli government’s actions in Gaza and the West Bank, which he described as killing thousands of civilians and starving children, have no right to criticize Turkey or President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Justice Minister Akın Gürlek echoed the condemnation, stating that Netanyahu, who is a suspect and defendant in an ongoing Turkish war‑crimes investigation, is “unfit to target” the Turkish president. Both officials warned that Israel’s alleged war crimes will eventually be judged by independent courts.
