Turkey construction materials exports rise 18.5% in June

The construction materials industry in Turkey saw a significant increase in foreign trade activity in June 2026. According to the Construction Materials Industry Foreign Trade Index prepared by the Turkish Construction Materials Industrialists Association (IMSAD) in collaboration with KPMG, exports rose to $3.17 billion, marking an 18.5% increase from May.

While the average export unit price fell slightly by 2.9% to $0.61 per kg, the total export value was driven upward by a 22% increase in export volume, which reached 5.19 million tons.

Imports also experienced rapid growth, rising 34.5% to $1.48 billion compared to $1.09 billion in May. The volume of imports surged by 69.6% to 462,200 tons. Notably, the average import unit price dropped by 20.7% to $3.20 per kg, reversing a rising trend seen in the first five months of the year. The sector recorded a foreign trade surplus of approximately $1.69 billion for the month of June.
