Turkey's Family Ministry deposits June birth‑aid payments to mothers' accounts
The Turkish Ministry of Family and Social Services announced that the June 2025 birth‑aid payments have been transferred to mothers' bank accounts. Minister Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş said the payments total 20.1 billion Turkish lira, reaching 1,099,185 mothers to date.
Under the 2025 Family Year the aid scheme provides a one‑off 5,000 TL for the first child, a monthly 1,500 TL for the second child and a monthly 5,000 TL for the third and subsequent children. To date more than 1.12 million children have benefited, including 466,825 first‑born, 344,139 second‑born and 310,026 third‑born or later children. The programme also supports 25,401 families with twins or multiple births and provides regular payments for 654,165 children with two or more siblings.
Applications are submitted through the e‑Devlet portal or the “İlk Öğretmenim Ailem” mobile app, and payments are made via Halkbank. The aid will continue without interruption until each child reaches five years of age.
