Turkey discusses agricultural production and seed sector financing
Turkish officials and industry leaders have met to discuss the current state and future goals of the country's agricultural and seed sectors. During a meeting between TÜRKTOB Chairman M. Kayhan Yıldırım and AK Party Deputy Chairman Kürşad Zorlu, the seed industry's challenges regarding financing and rising production costs were highlighted. Discussions also focused on strengthening R&D, increasing export capacity, and enhancing cooperation with Turkic Republics.
Separately, Trade Minister Ömer Bolat and Agriculture Minister İbrahim Yumaklı held a consultation meeting at the Toprak Mahsulleri Ofisi (TMO) regarding the grain sector. Minister Bolat stated there are no supply issues for agricultural products, attributing increased production to stable policies and favorable rainfall. Minister Yumaklı announced that the highest harvest yields in the history of the Republic are expected, emphasizing Turkey's strength in strategic agricultural production and food security.
