Additionally, while the Bafra Plain reports abundant watermelon and cantaloupe yields, local producers report that sales are lagging. By August 2026, Turkey’s grain and cereal sector exports reached $6.9 billion for the first seven months of the year, driven by products including sunflower oil, pasta, and wheat flour.
