Turkey expands digital support tools for parents and child safety

Turkish Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş has highlighted the role of digital tools in supporting families and child safety. The “Çocuklar Güvende” (Children are Safe) mobile application allows parents to report inappropriate content and contact the Ministry directly during emergencies. The app is designed to provide guidance on issues such as peer bullying to help parents support their children effectively.

Additionally, the “İlk Öğretmenim Ailem” (My Family is My First Teacher) application has reached over 2 million families since its launch in April 2025. This platform provides free, reliable information on child development, positive parenting skills, and strengthening marital communication. New updates to the app include guidance on school adjustment, school anxiety, and emotional challenges for parents of preschool and primary school-aged children.
