Turkey expands EV fast‑charging network with premium stations and 20% discount
En Yakıt, in partnership with Mercedes‑Benz Automotive, opened Turkey’s first premium high‑speed charging stations at the Karbey Rest Area on the Edirne Highway. The sites initially deliver up to 400 kW per socket, with plans to reach 480 kW per socket and a total capacity of 720 kW, allowing eight vehicles to charge simultaneously. En Yakıt aims to install more than 140 new sockets at around 40 strategic locations nationwide within two years, integrating the network with Mercedes‑Benz’s Electric Intelligence navigation system.
Separately, Togg announced a nationwide 20 % discount on charging sessions at Trugo fast‑charging stations for July and August. The promotion applies to Trugo’s auto‑charge DC chargers, which currently number over 1,500 across all 81 Turkish provinces and are powered by 100 % renewable energy. The discount reduces travel costs for electric‑vehicle owners and supports broader EV adoption in Turkey.
