Multiple seismic events were recorded across various regions of Turkey and the surrounding areas between August 31 and the early hours of September 1, 2026. Data provided by AFAD and the Kandilli Observatory indicate frequent small to moderate tremors.

A notable earthquake occurred in the Aegean Sea off the coast of Karaburun, Izmir, with a magnitude of 3.7 at a depth of 43.40 kilometers. Other recorded activity includes a 2.1 magnitude tremor near Gülpınar in the Çanakkale region and various smaller tremors in provinces such as Kahramanmaraş, Adıyaman, Balıkesir, and Manisa.
