CEV Women's European Volleyball Championship Filenin Sultanları Daniele Santarelli quarter-finals volleyball

The Turkey Women's National Volleyball Team has advanced to the quarter-finals of the 2026 CEV Women's European Volleyball Championship after defeating Azerbaijan 3-0 in the round of 16. Played at the Sinan Erdem Sports Hall, the match saw Turkey dominate with set scores of 25-14, 25-16, and 25-22.

Head coach Daniele Santarelli noted that while the team played well in the first two sets, the third set was less perfect due to Azerbaijan's unique playing style and height. Santarelli also praised captain Eda Erdem for her leadership on the court.

Turkey is scheduled to face Germany in the quarter-finals on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 19:00. The winner of the Turkey-Germany match will advance to the semi-finals to face the winner of the Serbia-Greece matchup.
