Turkey farmer dies in tractor accident while stopping equipment
A 70‑year‑old farmer, Fazlı Dal, was killed in Tarsus, Mersin Province, when his tractor rolled over him as he tried to stop it during a pesticide application. Emergency crews arrived but found him dead at the scene; authorities opened an investigation.
In a separate incident in Taraklı, Sakarya Province, 58‑year‑old farmer Mehmet Ali Ç. died after becoming trapped between his tractor and a farm machine in his field. His son reported the incident, and health and security teams confirmed the death on site. A criminal investigation was also launched.
Both accidents prompted local law‑enforcement and medical investigations into the circumstances of the fatalities.
