Turkey hosts children's sky‑observation festivals in Isparta and Diyarbakır

The Science Isparta Center in Isparta organized a sky‑observation event where children and families used professional telescopes to view the Moon and other celestial objects. The centre, which grew out of a youth facility transferred to Isparta University and operates with TÜBİTAK support, highlighted its five science workshops and announced a summer school for ages 6‑14.

At the historic Zerzevan Castle near Diyarbakır, a three‑thousand‑year‑old archaeological site, a "Sky Observation and Science Festival" was held under the coordination of the Diyarbakır Governorate, Karacadağ Development Agency and the GAP Regional Development Administration. Participants observed the Sun, Moon, Jupiter and stars through telescopes, visited space‑themed workshops, and heard remarks from agency officials and Prof. Dr. Aytaç Coşkun on the site's dual cultural and astronomical significance.
