Turkey hosts national youth camp in Trabzon and debate finals in Istanbul

The Turkish Ministry of Youth and Sports organized the Trabzon East Black Sea Youth Camp, bringing 252 adolescents aged 16‑22 from across the country to experience cultural, artistic and sporting activities, including visits to historic sites such as the Sümela Monastery.

In Istanbul, the Yeşilay‑Ministry of Education debate tournament concluded with a national final attended by officials including Istanbul Deputy Governor Hasan Gözen. More than 3,900 teams applied, and the event highlighted critical thinking and communication skills. Dr. Mehmet Dinç said, "Artık yeni bir dönemdeyiz. Bu yeni dönemde toprak işgali yok; zihin işgali, beden işgali, duygu işgali ve ruh işgali var," emphasizing the need for an independent youth culture.

Both events illustrate Turkey's emphasis on youth development through education, sports, and cultural exchange.
