Turkey hosts science and urban planning festivals

Turkey is preparing for two major upcoming and recently concluded thematic festivals. KENTFEST 2026 is scheduled to take place on December 10 in Istanbul at the Taşyapı Event and Conference Hall. Led by the Urban Transformation and Urbanism Foundation, the festival will focus on urban transformation, smart city technologies, and climate change solutions. The event aims to reward successful municipal projects, postgraduate theses, and urban planning ideas from university students.

In Eskişehir, the BilimFest 2026 science festival has concluded its three-day program. Supported by the Ministry of Industry and Technology and TÜBİTAK, the event featured 105 activity tents and 92 thematic workshops. Due to unexpected weather conditions, the festival was relocated to the Eskişehir Fair Congress Center. The program brought together universities, public institutions, and the private sector to promote science and technology access for children and youth.
