Turkey implements water conservation training for farmers and students

Water conservation and efficiency initiatives are being implemented across different regions in Turkey through targeted educational programs.

In Kozan, Adana, the ‘DoğruSU Adana Project’—a collaboration between the Adana Agricultural Production Enterprise (TAYEM) and the Kozan District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry—provided training to 25 farmers. The program focuses on efficient irrigation techniques to minimize water loss in agricultural production, increase yield, and reduce irrigation costs.

In Batman, the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry is conducting water efficiency training for students at Kültür Primary School as part of a broader Water Efficiency Mobilization. The initiative aims to instill water conservation awareness in children from a young age to ensure the sustainable use of resources in the face of climate change and increasing water demand.
