Turkey issues widespread shower warnings for multiple provinces

The Turkish State Meteorological Service forecast scattered clouds and local heavy rain showers for many parts of Turkey on June 9. The warning covers the interior Aegean, West and East Mediterranean regions (including the Toroslar area), western Central Anatolia and parts of the Black Sea and Eastern Anatolia. Provinces expected to see showers include Afyonkarahisar, Denizli, Muğla, Antalya, Burdur, Isparta, Ankara, Konya, Kayseri, Rize, Trabzon, Giresun, Erzurum, Kars, Van and surrounding districts.

Temperatures will remain near seasonal norms, ranging from 28 °C to 34 °C in coastal and interior cities, with winds generally from the north and occasional moderate gusts from the south. Officials warned of possible flash flooding, lightning strikes and transport disruptions, urging citizens to stay cautious and follow safety recommendations.
