Denizli's Tavas district receives 141 million TL water infrastructure upgrade
The Denizli Metropolitan Municipality’s Water and Sewerage Administration (DESKİ) has launched a 141 million TL project to upgrade drinking‑water infrastructure in the Tavas district. A 47,815‑metre pressurised water main will be built together with a new 100‑cubic‑metre reservoir, providing continuous, safe water to 14 neighbourhoods. The system will draw water from three sources at a rate of 60 litres per second and will operate with seasonal adjustments: well water in summer and autumn, and natural spring water from Bozdağ in winter and spring. The investment aims to strengthen supply reliability, mitigate drought and climate‑change impacts, and eliminate water shortages that previously occurred during the hot months.
The project is part of broader municipal efforts to modernise water management across Denizli, employing high‑engineering standards to ensure efficient delivery and long‑term sustainability for the district’s residents.
