Turkey launches housing lottery for 500,000‑unit 'Yüzyılın Konut' project in Adıyaman
The Turkish government, through TOKİ and the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, has begun the allocation lottery for the "Yüzyılın Konut" (Century's Housing) social‑housing program that will construct 500,000 homes across 81 provinces. More than 5.2 million applications were received, and 506,499 beneficiaries were identified in an earlier draw.
On 3 July 2026 the first "konut belirleme kura" was held in the earthquake‑hit province of Adıyaman, where 4,905 social apartments were allocated. Minister Murat Kurum and local officials attended the ceremony. Subsequent draws will follow as tender processes are completed in other regions.
The scheme offers 2+1 and 1+1 apartments ranging from 55 to 80 m² with a 10 % down‑payment and up to 240 months of installments (starting at TL 6,750–7,313). In Istanbul, the project includes 100,000 new social homes plus 15,000 rental units that will be offered below market rates from September.
In addition to housing, the plan provides 500 mosques, 500 community centres, health‑care and daycare facilities, sports halls and guest houses, aiming to give safe, disaster‑resilient homes to at least 2 million people and to balance the housing market. Full delivery is targeted for 2028.
