Turkey marks 11th anniversary of Ankara train station bombing

Commemorations and calls for justice were held across several Turkish cities to mark the 11th anniversary of the October 10 Ankara train station bombing, an ISIS-claimed attack that killed over 100 people.

In Istanbul, participants marched from Boğa to İskele, with representatives from the 10 October Peace Association stating that justice has not been fully served. They argued that while some perpetrators were punished, the primary responsibilities of security bureaucracies and political authorities remain unaddressed.

In İzmir, survivors and families of the victims gathered to honor those lost, emphasizing that their search for justice will continue until all perpetrators are held accountable. Similarly, in Adıyaman, various political and labor organizations held a press conference to demand social justice and democratic solutions to ongoing conflicts, noting that the pain of the massacre remains fresh after 11 years.
