Turkey Ministry of Health to hire 38,000 non-physician staff
The Turkish Ministry of Health has announced a major employment initiative to hire 38,000 non-physician personnel and permanent workers. This move aims to address labor shortages in hospitals and improve the quality of healthcare services across public institutions.
The recruitment drive includes various contracted positions such as medical secretaries, nurses, midwives, and office clerks, as well as permanent roles including cleaning staff, security guards, clinical support personnel, and patient receptionists.
Selection criteria will vary by role. Contracted professional positions like nurses and medical secretaries will require Public Personnel Selection Examination (KPSS) scores based on graduation levels. In contrast, permanent worker roles such as cleaning and security staff will not require KPSS scores; instead, candidates with at least a primary school education will be selected via a lottery system conducted in the presence of a notary.
To support local employment, permanent worker applicants may be subject to residency requirements, limiting them to applying for specific quotas within their registered provinces.
