Turkey offers financial support for urban transformation
Turkey is offering various financial incentives to accelerate urban transformation, particularly through the ‘Yarısı Bizden’ campaign coordinated by the Urban Transformation Presidency. In Istanbul, residential property owners can receive a total of 1,875,000 lira in support, consisting of an 875,000 lira grant, an 875,000 lira loan, and 125,000 lira for moving assistance.
For commercial properties, the support includes a 437,500 lira grant, a 437,500 lira loan, and 125,000 lira in moving assistance. Additionally, separate programs offer up to 3 million lira in credit for the transformation of risky structures. Large-scale site transformations may be managed by TOKİ or Emlak Konut, providing 875,000 lira in grants and 125,000 lira in moving support per right holder.
Beyond direct financial aid, citizens can benefit from tax and fee exemptions regarding title deeds, licenses, and occupancy permits. To qualify for these supports, properties must be identified as risky structures by December 31, 2026.
