Marmarabirlik begins 2026/2027 olive yield reporting process

Marmarabirlik has officially commenced the yield reporting process for the 2026/2027 business year. Chairman Ali Yıldız announced that producers must submit their yield declarations to their respective cooperatives by October 23, 2026. These declarations are critical for the cooperative to plan its seasonal requirements for storage, processing, logistics, and financing.

Field studies to determine the 2026 olive yield, coordinated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, began on July 28, 2026, involving 370 technical personnel across 41 provinces. Yıldız emphasized the importance of accurate reporting to ensure healthy capacity planning.

In Konya, the harvest season for aronia, a high-antioxidant fruit of North American origin, has also begun. Producer Tahsin Tosun reported that the berries are being hand-picked to maintain quality. The aronia is being sold at 250 TL per kilogram, with the producer noting that no chemical fertilizers or pesticides are used in the cultivation process.
