Turkey Sets 2027 Hajj Health Staff Applications and Pilgrim Registration Schedule
Turkey's Presidency of Religious Affairs (Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı) announced that online applications for health personnel to serve during the 2027 Hajj will be accepted from 28 July to 2 August 2026 via the hac.gov.tr portal. Eligible positions include specialist doctors, general practitioners, dentists and dietitians, who must satisfy employment conditions under law 657, age limits (born after 1 Jan 1967 for specialists, after 1 Jan 1972 for practitioners), a minimum service period, and must not have been assigned to the 2026‑2027 Hajj or hold a state‑service obligation after 28 July 2026.
The Hajj and Umrah Services General Directorate also opened the pilgrim registration window, which starts tomorrow and remains open through 18 August on the e‑Devlet platform. Applicants are required to hold passports valid at least until 20 November 2027 to obtain visas. Approximately 1.878 million candidates entered the Hajj lottery, and 84 942 Turkish pilgrims are slated to travel. The travel itinerary is set for departure between 17 April and 11 May, with returns scheduled from 20 May to 15 June.
