Turkey opens applications for military personnel injured in counter-terrorism operations

Applications for provisions regarding personnel injured during counter-terrorism operations without becoming disabled will begin tomorrow. According to a statement from the Ministry, these provisions are based on the temporary 20th article added to the Counter-Terrorism Law No. 3713.

The regulation covers active-duty and retired personnel, as well as discharged non-commissioned officers and privates from the Land, Naval, and Air Force Commands. It applies to those injured by firearms, shrapnel, improvised explosive devices, mines, mortars, rockets, grenades, or other explosive munitions, including blast and thermal effects. It also covers injuries resulting from close combat attacks such as cutting, piercing, or crushing.

To qualify, a medical board report including at least one forensic medicine expert must confirm that the injuries were not minor and that a causal link exists between the incident and the injury. Applications must be submitted via the e-Devlet portal; submissions through petitions, CİMER, or email will not be accepted. Applicants do not need to request additional documents from the Ministry of National Defense or other institutions beforehand, as the process can be tracked through the e-Devlet system.
