Ministry of National Education announces teacher relocation and assignment updates

The Turkish Ministry of National Education (MEB) has announced several updates regarding teacher assignments and employment processes for the upcoming period.

Contracted teachers working in different provinces can apply for inter-provincial relocation to ensure family unity. Applications are scheduled to take place from August 12 to August 14, 2026, via the Ministry's official personnel website. Results are expected to be announced on August 17, 2026.

Additionally, the Ministry is expanding its e-exam center network, including SRC exams, providing new assignment opportunities for teachers. For the week of August 17–23, exam hall presidents will receive 2,048 TL and proctors will receive 1,890 TL. Applications for these roles must be completed through the MEBBIS system by August 15.

Regarding substitute teaching, applications for the 2026–2027 academic year are being managed by local provincial and district directorates. Candidates must apply through e-Devlet or specific online forms provided by local authorities, adhering to requirements such as Turkish citizenship and specific educational backgrounds.
