Turkey pension and civil servant salary increases projected for January 2027

Projections for pension and civil servant salary increases in Turkey for January 2027 are being shaped by revised inflation forecasts. Following an upward revision by the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye, which moved its year-end inflation expectation from 26% to 28%, new calculation scenarios have emerged.

Under one scenario, where year-end inflation reaches 28%, SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees are expected to see a salary increase of approximately 8.7%, while civil servants and civil servant retirees are projected to receive a 6.67% increase.

A second scenario, based on the Market Participants Survey's year-end inflation expectation of 29.43%, suggests higher adjustments. In this case, SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees could see increases near 9.91%, and civil servants could see increases of roughly 7.86%. If the latter occurs, the lowest civil servant salary is expected to rise from 70,224 lira to approximately 75,744 lira.
