Turkey police operations net hundreds of arrests in Kayseri and Antalya

In a coordinated law‑enforcement effort, Turkish police carried out large‑scale operations in Kayseri and Antalya.

In Kayseri, 725 officers conducted simultaneous peace‑and‑order actions at 55 locations, questioning over 10,300 people and inspecting 4,500 vehicles. The operation resulted in the capture of 105 wanted individuals, the seizure of an unlicensed firearm, two knives, and several confiscated vehicles.

In Antalya, security forces conducted a week‑long crackdown that involved querying more than 2 million people and inspecting over 49,000 automobiles and motorcycles. Authorities arrested 242 suspects, seized 28 firearms, 109 rounds of ammunition, and multiple knives, and confiscated 34 stolen vehicles. Additional actions included fines for noise violations, gambling offenses, and the closure of five non‑compliant businesses.
