Turkey political polls show AK Parti leading and Yeni Parti rising

Recent political polling in Turkey reveals shifting dynamics in party preferences and voter behavior. An August 2026 survey conducted by ORC Araştırma across 26 provinces shows the AK Parti leading with 33.1% of the vote. Notably, the Yeni Parti has risen to second place with 17.2%, surpassing the CHP, which holds 10.6%. Other parties include the DEM Parti at 8.3%, MHP at 7.7%, and İYİ Parti at 5.3%.

Complementary research by ANK-AR examined the relationship between political choices and family influence. The study found that 75.4% of participants vote for the same party as their parents. This trend is most pronounced among AK Parti and MHP supporters, where rates reach approximately 89% and 88.6%, respectively. In contrast, Zafer Partisi voters show the highest level of political independence from their families, with 85.5% stating they vote differently than their parents.
