Turkey provides housing and citizenship to Ahiska Turk families

Officials from the Turkish Ministry of Interior and the Directorate General of Migration Management have completed the second stage of permanent housing for Ahiska Turk families in Elazığ. These families, who were previously staying in temporary shelters, have moved into their new homes as part of permanent settlement efforts.

During the visit, officials also presented Turkish Republic identity cards to members of the Ahiska Turk community following the completion of their citizenship processes. The ceremony was supported by Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi and attended by high-ranking officials from the General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs.
