Turkey raids DEAŞ networks, arrests over 130 suspects across 30 provinces
Turkish security forces carried out simultaneous operations against the DEAŞ terrorist organization in two major waves. An initial raid coordinated from Nevşehir targeted seven provinces—Nevşehir, Adana, Mersin, Konya, Bursa, Samsun, Bolu and Karabük—resulting in the arrest of 11 foreign‑national suspects, five of whom were later jailed while the others were released or handed over to immigration authorities.
A second, larger sweep spanned 30 provinces and led to the capture of 119 additional suspects accused of involvement in DEAŞ’s propaganda and financing activities. Authorities said the operations disrupted the group’s online recruitment, financial channels via alleged charities, and other support structures. All detainees have been placed under legal investigation by the public prosecutor’s office.
