Turkey releases 2026‑27 school year calendar and Sakarya prepares schools

Turkey's Ministry of National Education published the 2026‑2027 academic calendar. The first term begins on 14 September 2026, with teachers' professional preparation starting 1 September. Kindergarten and first‑grade students have an orientation week from 7–11 September. Scheduled breaks include a mid‑term break (16–20 November 2026), a semester break (25 January–5 February 2027), and a spring break (8–12 March 2027). The second term commences on 8 February 2027 and the school year concludes on 25 June 2027 with report‑card distribution.

In Sakarya Province, the regional Directorate of National Education is conducting on‑site inspections of all schools to verify physical conditions, textbook delivery, uniform policies, and readiness of vocational and technical institutions. These visits aim to ensure the new school year starts safely and smoothly across the province.
