Turkey reports 2.5 million children participated in summer Quran courses

Approximately 2.5 million children participated in summer Quran courses across Turkey this year, according to Sedide Akbulut, General Director of Education Services for the Presidency of Religious Affairs. During a closing ceremony in the Sincan district of Ankara, Akbulut emphasized the importance of children to the nation's future and praised parents for encouraging mosque attendance.

In the Tekkeköy neighborhood of the İnegöl district in Bursa, a local tradition of rewarding students has continued for 62 years. This year, 21 children were honored following their graduation and completion programs. Supported by local residents and philanthropists, the community provided prizes including bicycles, tablets, and smartwatches to encourage religious education and participation.
