Turkey second-hand online vehicle listings drop 12.5%

The Turkish second-hand online vehicle market experienced a significant decline in listings during September. According to a report by the Automotive Distributors and Mobility Association (ODMD), total corporate listings fell by 12.5% compared to the same period last year, decreasing by 56,028 units to reach 391,558.

Specific segments showed varying levels of contraction. Automobile listings dropped by 10.2%, falling from 370,260 to 332,363. The light commercial vehicle segment saw a more pronounced decline of 23.4%, with listings decreasing from 77,326 to 59,195.

Despite the reduction in available listings, overall sales remained relatively resilient. Total online sales decreased by only 2% year-on-year, totaling 189,144 units. While light commercial vehicle sales fell by 12%, second-hand automobile sales remained stable at 160,213 units, matching the previous year's figures.
