Turkey sees two separate motorcycle accidents, one fatal, one injuring a passenger
In Bilecik’s Vezirhan district, a motorcyclist who had just refuelled at a D‑650 road petrol station lost control and crashed. The rider, identified as U.C.B., was unharmed, but the passenger, C.B., suffered injuries and was taken to hospital after first‑aid on site. Police opened an investigation into the cause of the crash.
In Gaziantep’s Şehitkamil district, a 26‑year‑old motorcyclist, Medet Balkan, lost control and collided with a barrier at the Çimento intersection. Balkan, a health‑care worker at Gaziantep University Hospital, died despite emergency treatment at Şehitkamil State Hospital. An autopsy was performed and his funeral was arranged. Authorities continue to investigate the accident.
