Turkey to host international sailing and rowing competitions
Turkey is set to host two major international water sports events in September.
The 10th International Süleymanpaşa Cup Sailing Races will take place in Tekirdağ from September 1 to September 5. Approximately 280 young athletes aged 7 to 15 from seven countries—including Bulgaria, Russia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Northern Cyprus, and Turkey—will compete in the Sea of Marmara. The event is organized through a collaboration between Süleymanpaşa Municipality, the Turkish Sailing Federation, and the Tekirdağ Sailing Sports Club.
In Istanbul, the second DenizBank Tersane Istanbul Rowing Cup will be held in the Golden Horn (Haliç) from September 11 to September 13. The event features various categories, including Coastal Rowing, club competitions, and a new university race. Alongside the rowing competitions, the three-day festival will include musical performances, such as a concert by Bergüzar Korel and the first Turkish appearance of Pink Martini All Stars.
