Turkey to host summits on AI security and data privacy

Upcoming technology summits in Turkey will focus on the security and privacy implications of artificial intelligence and 5G.

The Personal Data Protection Summit, hosted by the KVKK Institution, is scheduled for September 24, 2026. Under the theme ‘Digital Trust Ecosystem: Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Responsible Data Governance,’ the event will bring together representatives from the public sector, academia, and the technology industry to discuss data governance, digital identities, and the risks posed by new technologies.

Additionally, the GITEX Ai Türkiye event will take place on September 9-10, 2026, at the Istanbul Expo Center. Cybersecurity firm TrendAI is set to participate, addressing risks such as data leaks, unauthorized application use, and prompt injection attacks. The broader GITEX event expects over 300 technology companies and 150 global speakers to discuss AI, cloud technologies, and 5G.
