Turkey to open applications for injured counter-terrorism personnel
The Turkish Ministry of Interior has announced that the application process for personnel injured during counter-terrorism operations who have not been classified as disabled will begin on September 1, 2026. The process, conducted under Law No. 3713, will be accessible exclusively through the e-Devlet portal.
Eligible applicants include active and retired personnel from the Turkish Armed Forces, the Gendarmerie General Command, and the Coast Guard Command, including privates and enlisted personnel. The scope also covers security guards and personnel within the service class of the General Directorate of Security. Previous statements by the Minister of Family and Social Services indicated that National Intelligence Organization personnel may also be included.
Applicants are required to provide a summary of the injury incident via the e-Devlet system and may upload any supporting documents they currently possess. The Ministry noted that citizens do not need to request new documentation from public institutions, as existing information can be uploaded directly. Applications will not be accepted through military units, institutions, or conscription offices.
