Turkey tourism trends focus on autumn travel and winter preparations
As autumn progresses, tourism in Turkey is seeing a shift toward historical and gastronomic exploration. Regions such as Cappadocia offer opportunities for sunrise views, hot air balloon tours, and visits to underground cities, though travelers are advised to prepare for cooler temperatures. Other notable destinations for the season include Mardin, known for its stone architecture and Mesopotamian views, and Gaziantep for its local cuisine.
In Eskişehir, the winter tourism sector is awaiting a seasonal surge. Özlem Karaer, President of the TÜRSAB Eskişehir Regional Representative Board, noted that early reservations for the winter season have not yet intensified. Karaer attributed the current lull to economic conditions and the recent conclusion of the summer season, suggesting that booking activity is expected to increase in November and December as snowfall becomes more likely.
